
Zachary A. Toland
Associate
Zack is an Associate Attorney with Killian & Gephart, LLP. His practice is primarily focused on public sector labor and employment law.
Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Zack knew from an early age that he wanted to dedicate his life to advocating for others. As an attorney, he now focuses his practice on zealously representing his clients’ needs, with a primary focus on employment disputes and labor rights. Prior to joining Killian & Gephart, Zack worked for two years as Associate Staff Counsel at the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA.)
A graduate of Howard University School of Law, Zack worked in the Howard Reentry Clinic assisting indigent clients to re-establish their lives after paying their debt to society. He also had the opportunity to intern for several public interest-focused organizations, including the Federal Defender Services of Eastern Tennessee, Environmental Defense Fund, and American Atheists, and presented testimony before the Environmental Protection Agency. Zack also served as Vice-President of the Howard Public Interest Law Society and as Secretary of the Howard University chapter of the American Constitution Society, before graduating magna cum laude.
In 2013, Zack was awarded with the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution Bronze Good Citizenship Medal.
In his spare time, Zack is a keen hiker and woodworker and is an avid fan of British Panel shows.
